Rixa von Klot-Heydenfeldt, Germany / June 2019

I interned at the Heskia-Hacmun law firm in Tel Aviv in June 2019. The thing that made the H-H law firm special from the start was the way they treated each other and the interns. I was immediately integrated into the team and very much encouraged to feel like home. Everyone was very friendly and always helpful which lead to an exceptionally pleasant work environment.

The legaI work I did in that month taught me a lot and gave me an insight on how international private law cases are handled in real life. Furthermore, since I had never done an internship abroad before, it was the first time I ever really got an insight into a different legal system which I found fascinating. I received various tasks from the lawyers, such as: the translation of documents from English to German, legal research and the reviewing of legal documents. The firm handles a range of interesting and impressive cases which made my work very diverse and far from boring.

Apart from working at Heskia-Hacmun I also really enjoyed living in and experiencing Tel Aviv. It is a fascinating city with a great vibe. The people are interesting, the food great and the beaches beautiful. Everybody at Heskia-Hacmun encouraged me to take time off to be able to enjoy Tel Aviv and also travel to other parts of Israel, and for that I’m very grateful.

I can really recommend doing an Internship at Heskia-Hacmun to every law student with an interest in international private law. I am very grateful to everyone at Heskia-Hacmun for giving me this incredibly opportunity. I’ll be back soon.
