the Israel-Germany Jurists Association chose to hold its annual conference in the city of Nuremberg, Germany. The main goals of the association are to promote dialogue between Israeli and German jurists in order to develop relations between the two countries, and to deepen the discussion of the question of jurisdiction during the period of the National-Socialist regime. The annual conference is scheduled for May 2019 and will take place also in Hall 600 of the Nuremberg courtroom, where the trials of Nazi war criminals took. The Honorable President of the Supreme Court, Esther Hayut and the Honorable President of the Constitutional Court of Germany, Professor Vosskuhle, are scheduled to participate this year at the conference. Other judges, lawyers and guests from Germany and Israel will also participate. The conference will focus on the Nuremberg trials and on issues of public international law.
The conference will be attended by employees of the Heskia-Hacmun law firm and current and past interns, lawyers and jurists who worked in the past and work with the firm. The members of the Heskia-Hacmun firm are members of the association, and attorney Amos Hacmun is vice chairman.
