Internship at HH-Law in Tel Aviv (April to June 2023)

In the period between my first state exam and the start of my legal clerkship, I decided to do an internship at the Heskia-Hacmun law firm from April to June 2023 in order to gain an insight into Israeli and international law and to see the extent to which German law applies to legal cases, as the law firm also has German clients.

The working atmosphere was very pleasant, everyone in the law firm was personally very approachable and also showed a personal interest in me and my motivation to come to Israel. I also thought it was great that there was a meal together in the office every now and then when the holidays were coming up. I also found the exchange with the other two interns very good and we also did a lot together outside of the law firm.

My main activity consisted of translating official documents, both from German into English and vice versa, and from Hebrew into German or English and vice versa.
In addition, I went to many authorities, especially for the certification of documents with apostilles, including the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem, the court in Tel Aviv, the rabbinate in Bnei Brak and the land registry in Netanyah.

I loved being in Tel Aviv for such a long time and had a lot of great experiences.

Many thanks to the entire team for the great time!
