Hamburg, Germany
Studies at Augsburg University
Traineeship at the Munich regional court of appeal.
I spent the final stage of my legal traineeship at the Heskia Hacmun Law Firm in Tel Aviv from July 1st until September 30th in 2014.
It has been an amazing time and I enjoyed every single day, in the office with all the very nice and friendly people working there, as well as in the city of Tel Aviv and several other spots of this fascinating country.
My tasks included, besides drafting legal opinions, translations (English ↔ German) and legal research regarding German and international law also correspondence and the draft and submission of requests to several German authorities and other bodies.
Furthermore I had the opportunity to join a couple of court-hearings at different Israeli courts, which was a very interesting experience.
I also had the oppotunity to travel the country of Israel and see many beautiful and interesting places, furthermore the really friendly people I met at work or elsewhere gave me very interesting insights in jewish life by inviting me to cultural events, so I participated in several Shabbat-dinners, a jewish wedding and a jewish new year dinner.
Tel Aviv itself is one of the nicest places I have ever visited and which never gets boring. I met many very nice and friendly people from all over the world there.
All in all I had an amazing time in these three months, not least because of the open minded and very personal atmosphere amongst the whole HH-Team, which made the whole time in Israel unforgettable to me.
Even during the several week long Gaza-Conflict I felt very well taken care of and safe at any moment.
I highly recommend this internship-program to everyone who wants to benefit from working in an international law firm providing an amazing working atmosphere, living in a city to fall in love with.
