I had the privilege of interning at Heskia-Hacmun for six weeks (May-June 2019). As first year law student determined to gain experience in commercial law, I was very happy with my experience at the firm.
My legal work consisted primarily of assisting Partner Amos Hacmun and Adv. Zalk with contractual and tort cases. Work typically consisted of helping prepare cross-examinations, examining and amending contracts and extensively researching tort claims in preparation for litigation.
The office culture was friendly and laid back. It was a pleasure working with the Heskia-Hacmun team, and I was especially grateful for how much time Amos took in teaching me the ropes and including me in his casework.
