Justus Tögel, Hamburg, Germany / November – January 2023

I had the opportunity to spend the first three months of my legal clerkship at Heskia-Hacmun in Tel Aviv.

In addition to research tasks and the drafting of legal opinions and pleadings in German and English, I participated in client meetings and was entrusted with errands to ministries and banks.

Furthermore, I had the opportunity to accompany Amos and Dor to a court hearing at the District Court in Lod.

I received a very warm welcome from the team and the office cultivates a family atmosphere. For example, the Hanukkah holiday fell during my time in Israel, which was celebrated very nicely with colleagues together in the office.

The soccer world cup was also watched together with some colleagues and Adi invited us very cordially to his home.

The office is centrally located in Tel Aviv and right on the beach, so walks through the nearby Carmel Market at lunchtime or walks on the beach after work shape everyday life.

In addition to work, you are actively encouraged to explore the country and are given the opportunity to go on excursions and experience life in Tel Aviv.

The time in Tel Aviv and at Heskia-Hacmun will remain in my memory for the rest of my life and I can recommend anyone to spend a period here as part of their traineeship or studies.

Many thanks to the entire team of Heskia-Hacmun, which made my stay possible and made it so special!
