Julian Groenick, Duesseldorf, Germany / October – December 2022

I was allowed to spend the elective period of my legal clerkship at the Düsseldorf District Court with Heskia-Hacmun in Tel Aviv.

My work consisted mainly of working on German- and English-language mandates of the law firm. My tasks ranged from working on legal opinions and individual research tasks to translation work. In addition, I ran errands to various authorities and courts in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, which was always a good opportunity to get a better understanding of the respective location.

The atmosphere in the office was very warm and open from the very first moment. I always had the feeling that I could turn to anyone with my questions. This good relationship among each other was also noticeable outside of work. For example, on Yom Kippur, we were at Adi’s home with several trainees and had dinner there together with his family. We also watched several games of the soccer World Cup together.

During my time at Heskia-Hacmun, there were always two other trainee teachers there besides me, which allowed us to divide our working hours in such a way that we could also take a day off to go on excursions and travel around the country.

I had a great time in Tel Aviv and can recommend it to everyone to complete a station within the framework of the traineeship or the studies at Heskia-Hacmun!

Many thanks to the whole team for the great time!
