Education: University of Heidelberg, Erasmus Program at the University of Madrid
Thanks to a scholarship I got the chance to do an internship at the Heskia-Hacmun law firm in Israel for a month.
Being at the Heskia-Hacmun law firm was an amazing experience:
I was involved in cases in the area of inheritance law, especially dealing with the Jewish Claims Conference. Moreover I had the opportunity to get an inside view to the Israeli legal system like as attending the team to the courts and translating the cases.
Besides I was lucky to go to an special exhibition at the Supreme Court in Jerusalem, called “lawyers without laws”, dealing with lawyers in Nazi-Germany, and met the Constitutional Court Judges of Israel and Germany as well as the ambassador of Germany. A great evening.
Besides these experiences I enjoyed living in Tel Aviv. I stayed in Florentin neighborhood, an arty, young, interesting district which I highly recommend to at least walk through. I have learned a lot about Israeli culture and social life. I visited Jerusalem, Bethlehem and the Dead Sea and I am already looking forward to come back to this beautiful country.
